Super Mario Galaxy

Galaxy Android

Standalone 100% ARM64 Android port of the Wii cosmic gravity platformer by OpenPort-Labs. Executes natively via Vulkan 1.0 (with OpenGL ES 3.2 fallback) and low-latency AAudio with Hor+ ultrawide rendering, decoupled 30 FPS pacing, Odyssey movesets, selectable hero profiles, and instant savestates.

Overview & Highlights

OpenPort-Labs’ ground-up native C++ port brings Super Mario Galaxy directly to Android ARM64 devices without emulation overhead. Features native Vulkan rendering, AAudio low-latency audio streaming, decoupled game loop pacing to prevent mobile slow-motion, Odyssey-inspired movement mechanics, and full pointer emulation via gyro or touch.

  1. Dump your legally owned Super Mario Galaxy Wii disc (RMGE01 USA, RMGP01 EUR, or RMGJ01 JPN) to .iso, .wbfs, or extracted filesystem.
  2. Install the latest Galaxy Android APK from GitHub releases.
  3. Launch the game, tap Select Game Dump, and navigate to your dumped disc file.
  4. The built-in asset extractor unpacks textures and models directly to internal storage.
  5. Adjust resolution scaling and control preferences in the in-game settings menu.

Hardware Compatibility & Driver Notes

Vulkan 1.0 backend runs smoothly across both Adreno and Mali GPUs. Devices with older drivers can toggle OpenGL ES 3.2 in the config file.

Controls & Input Setup

Full physical gamepad support with right-stick Star Pointer emulation. Gyroscope aiming is natively supported for Star Pointer navigation and pulling sling pods. Customizable on-screen touch overlay is included.
